Velocity’s Season Finale creates opportunities that extend beyond the convention and competition stage. Throughout the week, dancers have the chance to be seen by working industry professionals, talent agencies, and professional employers in an environment where they can experience what the next level of the dance industry may look like.
Dance Agency Opportunities
Professional dance and talent agencies attend the Velocity Season Finale each year to scout dancers and connect with families.
Agency representatives are invited to:
- Observe dancers throughout all convention classes
- Sit in on additional auditions held during the convention class days
- Scout dancers across multiple styles and age divisions
- Meet directly with dancers and their families
Each participating agency will offer at least one dancer attending the Season Finale the opportunity for a family meeting. These meetings give dancers and their families the chance to learn more about professional representation, ask questions, and begin building relationships within the industry.
Velocity dancers have gone on to sign with professional agencies after being seen and connected through opportunities at our events.
Princess Cruises Audition
Velocity is also proud to offer a professional audition opportunity with Princess Cruises during the Season Finale.
Dancers interested in professional performance careers have the opportunity to audition directly for the Princess Cruises entertainment team. This gives dancers firsthand experience in a professional casting environment while being considered for real employment opportunities.
Dancers participating in the Princess Cruises audition through Velocity have been offered professional contracts, turning their Season Finale experience into an opportunity to begin working professionally.
From the Ballroom to the Industry
Whether a dancer is ready to pursue representation, interested in professional performance work, or simply beginning to learn about the industry, these opportunities are meant to provide meaningful exposure and real world experience.
